I have a few hundred windows Server 2012 R2 servers that are grouped logically by development regions in our environment. Example: dev, test, stage, prod. These servers all run the same OS and configuration. We group them logically by server naming convention and what region they are in.

So my question is how do i create multiple templates all for Server 2012 R2 and assign different thresholds to each template, then assign them to "groups" of servers cataloged logically? When i tried using the copy function it makes me specify a SysOID but says "This OID is already associated to [Windows 2012 R2] Templates" so what do i put as the SysOID? Is what i'm trying to do even possible? 

If its only possible to have one global device template for ALL server 2012 R2 boxes. what happens when i specify different threshold monitors directly on each device one at a time? will the Device Template values overwrite the custom values i set per node?
