Nice if, on the client agent, we could right click the agent and select:
View Prohibited Devices
There are options to View Prohibited Software and other selections, but View Prohibited Devices would make it easy to see on the client that Endpoint Central is the controlling application with regard to Device Control Plus.
Currently the way we perform client-side analytics is to open the View Logs, then open the Computer log and search for known strings, such as the name of a Custom Group that shows effective application of a policy.
Example:
[INFO] ProcessCollections : ********* Collection Started for collectionID : 328814 and Name : DeviceCtrlConfig_DevCtrl_BTH *********
[INFO] Inserted 328814 collection into applied apply always collection.
I presume the 2nd line indicates success.
Also, in the ues_devsummary log I can search for “blocked” and discover:
[info] : FindDevice : Device Found : SCSI\CDROM&VEN_HL-DT-ST&PROD_DVD+-RW_GU90N\4&18D394C0&0&070000
[info] : UsbDeviceHistoryUpdate : Device is blocked because it is connected to machine.
Still, it would simplify things if it were an available selection via the Agent context menu, and show a published page with Device Type, Policy Name, and Associated Custom Group.
