Device already present -- But I can't locate it
I was adding a server in which we were missing reverse DNS entry for. OpManager seemed to "hang" during the process of adding the device, and I couldn't tell if it completed. I had to refresh the page after a period of time, so I never received the confirmation notification that the device was added.
Later, this server's NIC cards were "teamed" which brought into use, a new IP for the device. Additionally reverse name records for this new teamed IP were created.
Originally I added the device with the IP xxx.xxx.128.39. There was a second NIC in the server which used xxx.xxx.128.98. The new teamed IP is: xxx.xxx.128.99
When I go to add the device by name or by IP, Opmanager reports the device is already present in the database.
The problem is I can't locate the existing device, if I search by name or any one of the IPs listed above, no device is found. When I look at the xxx.xxx.128.0 network, the device is not listed.
Do you have some other failsafe means of isolating this device, so that I can, at least delete it and recreate it. Thank you
