Desktop Central Software Deployment False Positives
This issue is rather perplexing. I opened a ticket with support but it is not going anywhere yet. So here is what happened. I made a custom Software deployment package for Server based Webroot. The preinstalled one is not the correct version or type. I made it using the exe command option. Before things get started about my deployment options. I know the options I chose works. I know that because I did test deployments and it worked. When I started to deploy in prod I deployed to 90 servers. Of those 90 servers it said all of the deployments succeeded. However when checking only 50 actually worked. I then copied the command and ran it in command prompt on the client server and it installed within seconds. I then reran on the remaining 39 clients and it still gave the false positive. I am able to scan/chat/remote reboot the servers via the agent so connectivity is not an issue. and the software package i made is not the issue. I did see a warning saying only to choose 50 or less as it is CPU intensive but it let me do more anyways. I dont know if it only did 50 and the remaining is stuck in some kind of desktop central limbo or something. but even redeployments dont work. I already gave logs to the live chat help but my boss is breathing down my neck as this is prod and I have a limited window.
