It is critical to stay protected and have a check on your organization's approach towards securing and managing the endpoints. This article suggests security guidelines to harden the ManageEngine Desktop Central software. These security suggestions have existed for some time. However, we find it is appropriate to have a quick inspection in light of the recent supply chain attacks.
We always have felt that securing and hardening of the on-premises Desktop Central server is a combined responsibility along with the customer. At this juncture we want to emphasis and encourage our customers to go ahead and do a security health check and harden the desktop central servers. .

1. Upgrade your setup to the latest applicable build.
2. Enforce Two Factor Authentication,
3. Implement complex password policy and
4. Remove default admin account.
