I have a easily repeatable problem with inventory report "software by computer". The report has around 38,000 items and when I try to run it the Central Server crashes and the service restarts. Any ideas? I suspect that the java is running out of memory but I'm not sure where or if the limit is defined. The OS is server 2008 and the machine has 8Gb of memory and quite low CPU utilisation. The engine version is 7 with the 7.003 service pack installed. I can't say for sure if the problem existed before the service pack as I added several hundred users at the same time.
