This is related to ticket 2513407.
We've been told that there is BUG in the server software that is causing the Destop Central Agent process installed on servers to reboot unexpectedly.
Obviously this is going to cause a lot more harm than if it were occurring on user laptops.
When probed for a bug check number or some kind of tracking mechanism to follow for updates related to this problem, we aren't given one... we're told that the support person will "discuss it with the engineering team and update you with more details on
the BUG and how it is handled in the product".
This isn't an acceptable response.
The servers rebooted outside of their scheduled maintenance window.
The servers house business critical applications and services.
Unexpected server reboots cause harm to both the end user experience, customers we serve, and significant administrative overhead to validate services.
What is the status of this ticket.
What is the status of the bug report? (Is this even a bug?)
What do we need to do to get adequate visibility onto this problem?
How do we get this problem treated like the "production-down" problem that it should be?
