Hello Everyone,

Please be informed that the patch database sync will not happen for users using Endpoint Central versions 10.1.2134.1 and below. This will be effective from 20th of November, 2023. 

As a part of our performance enhancements and the commitment to deliver the latest features, we are implementing this initiative.

If you are using versions 10.1.2134.1 or below, you will no longer be able to sync your required patch information and carry out the patch deployment operations. We understand the significance of this feature for you, and therefore recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of Endpoint Central for continued access to the same.

It is recommended to upgrade to the Endpoint Central 11.2.2300.27 and above. To upgrade, 

1. Download the upgrade file from your product console.

2. Execute this file using the UpdateManager.bat file present in the /bin directory.

1. What modules of Endpoint Central will be deprecated for versions 10.1.2134.1 and below?

Patch Management, and Software Deployment module will be affected due to this deprecation. You will not be able to sync the latest patches, and software templates with your central server.

2. Will patch scanning work?

Yes. You will be able to scan and collect the patch details from your endpoints.

3. Will I be able to distribute patches manually?

Users under the specified version will have restricted access to the patch distribution. They can distribute and install patches which were synced previously, or by uploading patches to the server and then distributing them. Since either of these doesn't scale up, it is recommended to upgrade to the latest version.

4. What happens to the previously configured Automated Patch Deployment (APD) workflows?

The latest patch details will not be synced. Therefore, the workflow configured will come to a halt.

Update: The deadline has been extended to December 25, 2023. Please ensure that you upgrade to the latest version of Endpoint Central for continued access to the patch management process.
