Dead install

I am having a heck of a time with our evaluation install of OpManager. The problems started after applying the upgrade to 5.6 and the web access stopped working though not immediately. I have uninstalled and reinstalled more than once and still can't get it working with the previous information - I didn't get a chance to backup when things were working properly. I've also repaired the db - which had a huge number of errors.

If I reinstall and don't copy over the previous db and conf directories, then it works fine but when I do copy over the files - it goes blooey...

I think there is a problem with the configs but am not familiar with them enough to figure out what they should contain.
