Database restore immediately fails

We're trying to migrate our DSP install from one server to another using the instructions under "Steps to migrate DataSecurity Plus to a new server and database restoration":


When I get to the restore database step I run the script with the default password listed in the article and immediately get "problem while restoring the database."

I reached out to support and was told to use the instructions at the top of the page, but those instructions require uninstalling DSP from the source machine, which I obviously don't want to do in case something goes wrong. If I follow those instructions and something goes wrong then I'm stuck with DSP installed nowhere.

Support has not provided any help on this matter. Is anyone familiar with this issue or have insight on how I can move DSP to a new server?
