Dashboard view is still slow after upgrade
My previous posts mentioned that the Dashboard View was very slow on our system. We have now installed Netflow Analyzer on a dual 3Ghz Pentium machine with 3gb of RAM. The dashboard view is still sluggish. Sometimes taking 15-20 seconds to appear. This may not seem like much but its annoying when you want to check the reports on multiple devices and becomes time consuming waiting for it to appear each time you go back to it. I strongly beleive you have a problem in the way the dashboard view operates. The CPU utilization on the server is about 2% and it has 2.7GB of free memory so there is no problem there. We have 219 managed interfaces.
We have also discovered a bug in the Dashboard View where devices are not sorted alphabetically unless there is a space in front of the name. We could not figure why our devices were not being sorted even after we set the first letter of each name as a capital. We then noted that the ones that were sorted were ones that had been discovered and they all had a space before the name. When we put a space before the name of the ones we had renamed manually they were then sorted correctly.
Also we would like better management of the Dashboard View. It is a pain having to scroll down each time because the dashboard view always goes back to the top of the page when you return to it. Would be good if it would stay at the last device you sleceted.
