Hi,
we've just upgraded from 15xxx to 16000 and encountered an issue that did not happen before that upgrade. We receive a mail from ServiceDesk everyday, claiming that we have to exclude ServiceDesk from the AV software.
"We have identified the presence of Microsoft Defender in the server.
Antivirus software can interfere with PostgreSQL operation. PostgreSQL requires Windows file-access commands to behave exactly as documented by Microsoft, but antivirus programs may introduce errors subtle behaviour changes, leading to concurrency problems that can cause random and unpredictable errors, or even data corruption.<br
External cybersecurity tools have not been tested with our application and may lead to internal blocking/interference issues within the JVM and memory, causing critical stability issues.
To prevent potential memory issues and data corruption, please exclude ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus from the tool."
Actually, "C:\Program Files\ManageEngine" is excluded already since we got that message a few years ago. So this is a false report.
As this seems to be a bug, is a patch available or at least a workaround to prevent that daily message?
