Before I make changes I just wanted to test the functionality to make sure it was still working before I made modifications. The page comes up and looks like it normally does. The problem I have is the functionality of typing in a wrong username or password just causes the page to refresh without any notification. On the unmodified page an error message pops up informing the user what happened. I still need that functionality to work.

All I'm trying to do is change the background images, colors, and location of some of the text at the bottom of the login screen. When I save the page and edit it like it needs to be and make the changes to show my custom page it looks like I want but I seem to lose some of the error handling functionality on the login part.

Is there any way to modify the login page but still keep all of the functionality that it has built in?
