We are happy to announce the upcoming release of another new feature. While ServiceDesk Plus currently allows administrators to organize tabs based on their preferences, we received frequent requests for a customizable landing page instead of Home page, after analyzing numerous use-cases, a feature we are now set to introduce.
This feature enables the configuration of customized landing pages for both Technicians and Requesters. Here are the screenshots provided below to illustrate this feature.
A module can be set to serve as the default landing page for requesters accessing the Self-Service Portal.
In case the logged in requester does not have access to the configured module, he will redirected to the Home page.
Alternatively, a request template can also be configured as landing page.
Here are the screenshots to configure Technician's landing page.
Since the Home page includes multiple sections with critical information, an option has been provided to set a preferred sub-module as the default view within the Home tab.
Else, you can set a preferred module as landing page.
Alternatively, you can set a preferred request template as the landing page for technicians as well. If the configured template is deleted at a later time, technicians will be redirected to the default template.
This feature has not yet been added to our Beta site. We will notify you once it becomes available on the Beta site or is officially released.
