customise report help.

I am using ap.And i want to customise a report,could you give me a sql sequetence.
My requirement is:
I want a report to show the CPU utilization of a server.But something special is I want both a date filter and a time filter.For example,i want to get the data from 2008-08-01 to 2008-08-31(date filter),and for erery day in the defined date zone, i just want the data from 08:00 to 18:00(time filter).
any help appreciate.
