Custom status and custom views

Follow along for a problem here.
We have a list with "Views" and there is a list with "Custom views".
- The "Views" (left side in the image). We use mainly the "Open requests", "Requests on-hold", and that's it. We should be able to remove al those we do not use from this list.
- The "Settings" button is actually a 'Custom Views' module in which you can create views you create yourself. There is clutter and there are several issues with the way this is handled:
- It is named wrongly: it should be "Custom views"... the button stands a bit lost there and is named wrong: "Settings": of what?
- Some fields are quite simply not available to create 'custom views' with. For example you cannot select a custom status... this is a serious bummer...
- The "Views" (left side in the image) should be a manageable list
- The 'Custom Views" should be integrated with the "Views" (left side in the image) module itself. Easy enough to create a 'button' at the bottom of the "Views" list, between "Trash and Archived Requests for example, as such:
