Custom Monitors in Opmanager 7 How to?
Hi all,
I would like to know how exactly to create custom monitors within Opmanager 7.
The only way I could figure out was through the device template and then adding a monitor to that template. This doesn't give me much flexibility I think.
Example,
Our devices are discovered and automatically recognized as a windows 2003 system, so the device will be added by using the windows 2003 template. We have 25 servers that are attached to this template, some are running on physical hardware and some are esx virtual machines.
Now, I would like to monitor the temperatures for the physical machines. This can only be achieved to apply the monitor to the template? So by this I have to delete them individually on the VM's?
My only chance to achieve some flexibility, is by creating a new template, attach it to the physical machines and add the monitor to that template, am I correct?
Or do you have an alternate way?
