Creating Test install
We are trying to upgrade to the latest version of Service Desk but when started installing the build our Service Desk failed after build 7.5.0 Build 7514. We went back to the old version through a restore process basically installing the version we had a latest full back up from then upgrading to the version we knew worked. We now are took that server converted it into a virtual machine and we are trying to connect it to a test database. Currently the virtual machine will connect to live the database so we copy a SQL backup and restored it to a new database called ServiceDeskTest. We went in and changed the following file: C:\AdventNet\ME\ServiceDesk\server\default\deploy\mssql-ds.xml to point to the new database. The service will not start though. We also went into C:\AdventNet\ME\ServiceDesk\bin\changeDBServer.bat, when we run this after editing the file it shows the correct database and when we click test it is successful. When we click save we get an error saying: You cannot configure this database server because the database server is compatible to build 7514 and now you are installed N/A build. Please install the build 7514 then upgrade to N/A.
Anyway for me to get this going? We are currently running
build 7.5.0 Build 7514 and using MSSQL 2005. Thanks.
