CPU Ready report values are different

I am trying to perform some capacity planning, but when I run the reports for CPU usage, I get different values for the same time frame when my report range is inside vs outside the 7 day range. See attached screen shots for more information.
Why is it, that on 8/7/2011 at 00:00:00 one average value is 2805ms and the other 241ms?
