I want to configure a custom monitor for one of my devices and then configure a threshold for it. The problem is that the response from the device for the OID is a straing value and not a numeric. Is there a way to configure a custom monitor and convert the string value to an integer value so that I can configure the threshold? I have tried to setup the monitor with Add Bulk Monitor and configure it as a numeric, but it does not work. If I do a test monitor, I can see the value, but the monitor do not recognize it as a value.
