I use SD+ to store details of all my maintenance contracts and hardware warranties and find the email notifications that contracts are about to expire to be very useful.
What I don't like is that it is only possible to raise expiry notifications by email to SD+ Technicians. Given that some contracts have a life of 3 years, it is very possible that the technician nominated to receive the notification will have left the company by then.
I have tried to set up a generic technician without SD+ login rights (so I don't use up a licence) with the same email address as my SD+ mailbox. I then set the notification to be sent to this "technician", effectively sending an email into SD+ and creating a new request. Except it doesn't work - SD+ recognises this as an SD+ generated alert and doesn't log the request!!
So, can I ask that you add an option to automatically generate a new request when a contract is about to expire?
Could you also add a configurable option to set notifications by default on all contracts?
Kind regards
