Connection problems with monitor of MySQL

Hi support team

I have a monitor of MySQL  for a specific client in application manager and it was ok until last week. Last week the networking group changed a firewall for this client and the monitor began to show downtime every 5 minutes. I checked the conecction by ping and port 3306 and it is ok. There is latency between the server that has application manager and the server that has the MySQL database. The connection time with the database is more than before. I think that is a network problem but I want to know your opinion about this.
