Confused. Assets in SDP vs DesktopCentral

Can someone please explain how the "Inventory" tab in Desktop Central relates to the "Assets" tab in ServiceDesk Plus" ?

Both are installed on the same the server (Windows 2008 R2).  

It appears that the DesktopCentral Agent take president over the SDP agent.. Can you confirm that?  Should both agents be installed on the workstation?

I have a volume license for Adobe Acrobat XI Professional, as well as a volume license for the Standard version.  Both allow me to install 10 copies of each.  How do I enter this license information?  What happens when there is a patch update, do I need to change\add a new license ?

How does information from DesktopCentral move to SPD, and vice-versa?
