What are templates?
Templates are the assorted configurations, which are very frequently used. These Templates carry values for the configurations which are in ready made state for deployment.
Why Templates are introduced?
Here are few basic reasons for Templates in MEDC
* As i mentioned in the above point, the Frequently Accessed Configurations can be deployed quickly, as they have pre-defined values.
* Most needed configurations which are hidden inside are brought to limelight to pull everyone's attention and use it.
* Additional configuration for security, OS tweaking etc., which are empowered by registry APIs will play major role through Templates
How can Templates be used?
You will be able to create configurations from the templates. Once the configuration is created it comes with pre-defined values filled in, you have the option to edit and change the values and target computers. Then go ahead with the deployment of the configuration.
Take look at the configurations and give us your valuable feedbacks, also please let us know the additional templates you would like to integrate with Desktop Central.
Note : It is available in the latest complete build. We'll be shortly announcing it for the existing customer in the PPM format.
