Client installation broken

Hello everybody,

I'm having the following situation here. I installed Endpoint Central via instructions, and finally tried to distribute the agent to the related machines. Trusting in what has been done, my dumb idea was to distribute it to all of them.
Big mistake, now I'm sitting with ~40 broken installations on the clients and they

- do not start (Windows service not starting "error 2: System could not find the related file), hence the do not contact the server
- cannot be upgraded / reinstalled via locally downloaded client (fails with the error below)

- cannot be uninstalled, because there is no entry under software in the control panel
- cannot be uninstalled via AgentCleanupTool (Validation failed! Uninstallation of Agent wont occur)

I've already opened a ticket for this, but since working and trying since hours meanwhile, any help would me much appreciated.
