This has been discussed before. posting in case there has been an update or work-around from anyone.

I would like to create a custom field under a CMDB entry containing a hyperlink that can be clicked (hot link, not just text) to open a solution based article or frankly any URL

OR

be able to link a CMDB entry to a solution article.

There does not seem to be a place outside the rich text editor to add a link.
