Changing schedule for a report

Hello,
 
When I change the settings of an existing scheduled report, get the status 'Completed' and will not run after that.
- What causes this reaction and what can I do to prevent this from happening?
- And can I fix such a completed schedule to a valid schedule again?
I hope someone tells me what I do wrong or what I can do to prevent this happening in future,
