Changing manually deployed patches to approved....

I have manually deployed a set of patches to a test machine. I now want to change these patches from "Not Approved" to Approved such that automatic deployment of patches will work, but there is no way of doing this without jotting down the manually applied patches and manually changing them over. Is there another way that this could be done?
