I just updated our version of the application to 8014 and I am shocked at a few changes that were made to the requests grid. I was a few versions behind, so maybe these changes didn't happen with the latest update, but why were these changes made?
1. The go to request by ID was removed:
Why was this removed? This was a very useful feature when looking up a ticket, especially when a user calls up on the phone referencing a specific ticket number. We could easily pop the ticket number in there and pull up the ticket. Now you have to search for it, and then open it etc. Not as efficient and a step back.
2. The assign support rep has changed in a terrible way. Previously you could select the ticket in the grid, select the support rep from the dropdown and click assign; no need to worry about specifying the group, as the group of the ticket would not change.
Now, its a popup window for some reason, and the group of the ticket is not filled out? You have to pick the group again. Why? If you don't specify a group and just select the support rep, it removes the ticket from the group and leaves it with no group? This is terrible and an enormous step backwards and opens a huge possibility for tickets to missed and left unaccounted for.
Also, I don't see anywhere in the release notes anything about these changes.
