Does anyone have examples of workflows for Change Management in Manage Engine within a small IT department. We are team of 8 people, we don't have a dedicated Change Manager, often the change requester and change owner are the same person (the technician).
The process here seems a little complicated for such a small department with a lot of phases and steps. Currently we are often bypassing the change process because it is overly complicated.
Ideally i would like the technician to submit a change either by "new change" or converting a ticket to a change. The manager of the technician becomes the "change manager" and review the change, if they agree they recommends it for CAB. When CAB approves the change the technician works on the change and then closes it out with any notes. I'm not sure what role that put everyone in I think i want to kind of combine "submission and planning" into one phase that is reviewed by the manager and recommended for CAB, once approved kind of skip the implementation phase since i would recommend the implementation plan be part of planning, just let them do the work and add any notes about the change to the review stage, and have the manager again review and close the changes.
Also is there a way to trigger the change to automatically enter the next stage when all of the CAB member approve it? or alert the change manager that all member have approved it?
