Can you create a New Request for an Asset

Hi

I know you can create a new request for a Workstation which a user can create for themselves.

Is it possible for users to create a request for items such as network printers, photocopiers etc which are used by departments and do not belong to any one owner.

I would like these types of equipement to be avaialbe for users to create requests for themselves.

At the moment i have created a product type called photocopier which contains 4 copiers, these do not belong to any one person or department, so i have assigned them to a department called GENERAL.

Is this possible to allow users to create requests for these, or for admin/technicans create requests for all assets, Firewalls, switches which are non-workstations.
