Can remote offices communicate with Desktop Central server with a ddns service?
Hey there, I use Desktop Central for my LAN devices efficiently, for at least six months now. Likewise, yesterday I deployed agents in a remote office to manage some of the devices there. During the deployment I set up server's public IP address in order to achieve communication. But that IP is dynamic and as a result, it constantly changes. Is it possible to set it up with "Desktop Central IP address" field as a ddns service URL instead? If indeed this is possible, do I have to set up new "Remote Offices" in order to make an agent with the new info (and start the whole process from the beginning), or is there an .ini file which I can edit, for existing agents?
Also, as the attachment shows, through the Agent Troubleshooting Tool, I see that I get an exclamation mark for Desktop Central Server connectivity issues. Please confirm that the case here is because the DC server is not part of a domain.
Thnx in advance,
Jimmy
