Can Opmanager be used to monitor a folder for the existence of small text files and then send out each one through its notification system?

We have a variety of systems that generate short alarm text files (<200 chars) with a .alm extension that are placed in a known location on a server and then a notification system is needed that monitors this location and sends out any .alm files out to groups of operators via SMS or emails. We would also want to be able to send other extensions or predetermined named files out to other groups of operators.

Is this possible with OpManager?
