Can I execute now? Why only logon/logoff

I'm trying to understand when configurations is executed, and I need clarification:

Question:

Can I run a custum script now (while computer is turned on offcourse, user login optional).

I might want to ensure a security patch is installed without waiting for user to log on/off.

Is this possible?
