In our organization, we use dynamic Service Templates for our users to submit requests. Now, one of our coordinators has asked for a change where they want to merge several templates into a single dynamic template so that the users only see the information relevant to a specific type of request. Today, we have it set up roughly like this:

• Template 1: Ordering computers
• Template 2: Ordering mobile devices
• Template 3: Ordering accessories

They now want this combined into a single template for Ordering IT Equipment.

To minimize the required work, I would prefer to avoid creating a brand-new template for this, as each individual template currently has quite a few rules governing which fields and resources are displayed. My idea instead is to create an overarching template that calls the other templates as follows:

Template: Ordering IT equipment.

Field: What type of order is this?

Depending on the selected option, the system would then call one of the existing templates, preserving the rules and scripts already configured there. Is it possible to script this, or is it just a matter of rolling up our sleeves and starting from scratch?
