Call LDAP Import via Cron Job

I used to use SD+ on Windows, and loved the auto Active Directory LDAP sync.

I've moved onto a new company and decided to install SDP on Linux. 

I don't have the AD auto-import feature in Linux, but was wondering if I can replicate it with the command line, the SDP API, or through a MySQL routine.

My goal is to automate the sync using a cron job.
