Business rules

Is it possible to set the Mode using a business rule? We don't see it as an option. Although most of our tickets are via email, we have a custom form that includes "original mode of contact" with some options. I'd like to use a business rule to set the mode based on that phrase in the description.

If not with a rule, any suggestions? Could this be added as an enhancement request? Seems like you should be able to set any of the fields using a business rule. Thanks.
