Build 7012 Released

A hotfix (version 7012) has been released. This hotfix is applicable for 7000 to 7011 builds only and is available at

Issues fixed in this Service Pack :

1. Sorting of users / departments not in the alphabetical order when assigning users to assets has been fixed.
2. 'Location' field not available when adding/editing Workstation has been fixed.
3. If department with same name exists (across different sites), only one of the department will be shown when associating department to a user has been fixed.
4. When a dropdown field in request is edited, asset associated to that request gets reset to empty has been fixed .
5. Requester name has been set as non editable in request details page. For now other requester attributes (email, contact no) can be edited.
6. Start day of the month March 2008 shown wrong in the Forward schedule of Change calendar has been fixed.
7. Change password tab shown in the Personalize page even when AD authentication is enabled has been fixed
8. PurchaseOrder id (internally generated unique id) not maintained in order when the SDP is restarted. POID jumps by 300 on every restart of SDP service has been fixed.
9. 'Notify the request owner if the task associated to a request is closed'. Earlier the notification was sent to task owner. Now the notification will be triggered to request owner (technician for the request).
10. Issue in showing the Request Status in the request listview when the status name is long has been fixed.
11. On changing the 'status' of the task from the task link in the email notification, a javascript error was thrown. This has been fixed .
12. In request list view, html tags are shown in some requests on hovering mouse over request subject link has been fixed.
13. The link through CloseRequestlink displays 'null' values on editing the contents in the CloseWorkOrder.jsp has been fixed.
14. Greyed out category associated with a request was not available in spot edit has been fixed.
15. During import of Requesters from AD, due to a quote in login name, status update to client got stopped, has been fixed.
16. NullPointerException when clicking on Column chooser (for first time alone) from any of the IT/Non-IT Assets has been fixed.
17. Exception on clicking the toolbar icons from Request Approval page has been fixed.
18. When creating a new custom report (workstation) , in the advanced filter section instead of "Resource Status" getting listed in the drop down "sdp.inventory.asset.grouplistview.resourcesstatee" was listed has been fixed
19. JavaScript error while adding Dynamic Group in French language has been fixed.
20. If user has been removed delete asset permission, add new asset permission also got disabled has been fixed.
21. When scheduled backup takes more than 10 min, even after the backup succeed the entry was not updated in the backup list has been fixed.
22. Code tuning to handle memory efficiently.

We have an update for the MYSQL Tuning for Memory related issues:

Introducing Memory Handling Mechanism to protect server from crash due to insufficient JVM memory.
In order to enable the mechanism, the new system property sdp.java.gc needs to be set to true in wrapper.conf. The mechanism is required to those production environment with more than 50 users accessing SDP at any point of time.

P.S:
We tried hard to add the fix for Purchase order in this build but we found few major issues with it. We will take couple of weeks time to fix it. We will keep you posted when it is being added the next service packs. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused if any.
