Book Value and disposal cost

In the Assets section, after selecting my desired asset and then going to the Financials tab, I can add depreciation value to the asset. When I complete the depreciation details for the asset, the current depreciation amount is placed in section of Current Book Value ($).

What is the relationship between depreciation value and disposal cost?
