Blank Resolution Time = SLA Overdue?

Morning!
We are attempting to address a few SLA issues in our system, and have observed the following problem...

Requests w/NO Resolution time appear to be automatically flagged as failing their Resolution SLA.



We have configured an SLA in this manner (eg. No Resolution Time) on purpose, as the specific type of work is open-ended / custom work that cannot easily be boxed in for time.  

Has anyone encountered similar issues?
