Big wishlist/feedback Opmanager
Hi folks,
For the moment i have a some points/feedback. Please confirm or and if we can except those feature's (and when)? Thanx already.
- Encrypted passwords in configurationfile's
In de configurationfile's at our Opmanager server i can find plain passwords in different (configuration)file's. For securityreasons it would be a great opion to have the option to encrypt the passwords.
- Encrypted passwords in html output
If you browse to a device in Opmanager and have set (snmp/login) credentials and you browse true the sourcecode then you will find the (plain)passwords. In the Opmanagerinterface the passwordfields are marked by a *****.
- More secure Passwords for users in Opmanager
After i defined a set of users in the webinterface and would like assign a password with say a " ! " in it then i get a javascriptpopup which tell me "Invalid character in password". For securityreasons it would be very nice to use such characters in a password.
- Whitepapers (external) databasedesign / rights
I like a detailed (white)paper about the (external) databasemodel and the rights it needs. We using also a external MS-SQL database and our databasedepartment use a set of rights on a database. Those rights came from a (internal) securitypolicy. I need to request a database buth have to describe the rights etc etc for it.
- Notification Autodiscovery
It would be very handy if i can get a alert after my autodiscovery have found a new device! Just a simple mailmessage would be enough
-Edit more views/category's under the Infrastructure view
We have servers with HP ILO (remote console / ipconsole's). For now they are placed under the Infrastructure device where the ILO belongs too. We would like to make a new Infrastructure category to place all those's ILO's in. For now as far is i know it's not available to create new Infrastructure views/category's.
- Option to remove "Jump to ServiceDesk Plus / NetFlow Analyzer" link at the righttop.
At the top of the webinterface of Opmanager we have the link "Jump To ServiceDesk Plus / NetFlow Analyzer". As for now we don't use those products we would remove those links.
- Option inventory/monitor Windows Scheduled Tasks
We have a lott of windows Servers with scheduled tasks. It would be very very very great if we can monitor or a scheduled task on a Windows server has runned or not!
