Best way to monitor Virtual Machine connection to Virtual Disk.

Best way to monitor Virtual Machine connection to Virtual Disk.

I have a  Hyper V virtual machine that connects to several virtual disks on an ISCSI Target.  What is the best way to monitor that the virtual disks are connected?  
I have utilization monitors setup for all of the drives.
