Automated database backup to remote host
Hi there,
Has anyone set up themselves a method to automatically transport a backed-up database file to a remote host?
I am running OpManager on a Windows server, so obviously it's easy to schedule the BackupDB bat file to run every x days. However, as the database filename is never the same I'm open to some hints on how people have acheived automating the copy of the file elsewhere (in case the server blows up or some such!)
I realise this is more a scripting-type query than a query related to OpManager itself but any help would be appreciated.
Also, if any AdventNet staff are reading this, is there a plan to build in a more feature-packed database backup facility into OpManager (perhaps in the GUI)?
