Auto time recording for Work Sheets

We're currently looking at migration for our HelpDesk software.
 
One feature I can't seem to find - Is it possible to 'automatically' record time spent by a technition on a call by the time the technition has the call record open?
 
If so, can a technition have multiple calls open at the same time & does the time get recorded against each open call?
