Authentication Question

Authentication Question

According to the user guide (User Management section http://www.manageengine.com/products/passwordmanagerpro/help/index.html)...

By default, PMP stores all user data in the MySQL database and performs authentication using database lookups. When you integrate AD/LDAP as the authentication system, the default authentication of PMP would be replaced by AD or LDAP to authenticate a user's identity. At any point of time, only one mode of authentication could be employed in PMP.

Does this mean, that users imported from AD should not be able to login using Local Authentication?  What if AD is unavailable?

Does a local account automatically get created when users are imported from AD?

Can accounts that are created manually login using Local Authentication even if most users have been imported from AD?

Thanks,
Lee Anne
