Authentication keys are not being saved to the technician.
To use the REST API calls SDP requires you to generate an authentication key for the technician.
At this point I would have expected that any administrator would be able to do this, but NO you have to use the built-in administrator account. Why???
However once logged in as the local administrator, generating the authentication key is not a problem, saving the generated key is a different matter! The change appears to be saved but if you return to the technician there is no key.
