Authentication failed in Linux

Authentication failed in Linux

Dear Sir,
When I try to discover Linux machine, "Authentication failed. Kindly verify the user name and password provided" message is thrown, though I provided valid authentication details.
Does that mean there's something wrong with the configuration?
