Auditing Macs and PCs not always connected to network

Auditing Macs and PCs not always connected to network

I read through the docs for Service Desk and I just don't see a way to audit our laptops that come in/out of the network all the time. I also don't see a way to audit Apple Macs. Can anyone suggest ways to make this work?
