Windows 2008 R2, OpManager 12300 with SQL Database

I tried adding an Android phone using AppSMS and couldn't get the phone to be recognised by OpManager as connected (Motorola Moto G4)  Anyway, since removing it, the Nokia phone which is currently connected as a serial modem no longer works either.  The Nokia is showing as connected.
I am able to setup a new notificaton profile using the Modem based SMS and the system thinks the SMS has been sent(test Action is Successful message is displayed)  but nothing is received.
This was all working until I tried to add the Android phone.  I had a workflow setup to send an SMS once a day, that also stopped working as the system now says the serial modem isn't connected.  Is there a quick way to 'tell' Opmanager that the AppSMS phone isn't setup and to use the old serial attached phone?  Have I missed something somewhere?  Couldn't see anything pertinent in the OpManager logs
