Hello, I am trying to run a probe at one of our locations but it is failing to pull in the machines on the network into assets. As well, on certain machines it is failing to scan machine details (OS, Hardware/Software,  etc).

Running the selfscan.exe locally on these computers, we also run into an error where CScript access is denied. On a few other computers on this domain, the selfscan runs without issue. This may be due to an endpoint protection service at this location which I am researching.

Adding workstations manually, assigning them to the probe, and running from the SDP dashboard shows Last Scan Status: FAILED with history report of "-  Unable to create remote service"

The probe is installed on the Domain Controller and is using Domain Admin credentials to scan.

My questions:

1. Does the probe use the selfscan.exe and script to run remotely on domain-connected computers?

2. What services/protocols does the probe use to reach domain-connected computers? What should I be looking at in terms of GPO to determine if certain services that are needed for the probe to function are not disabled?

3. Does the probe automatically scan all OUs in the domain to import workstations? Most of the computers on this domain are in a separate OU other than "Computers," although there are several in the Computers OU as well.
